Seaweed is a wonderful complex subject to paint, never mind its beauty. Snave is a little grave beach near my home between Bantry and Glengarriff. As a teenager when we moved here - I spent so many hours sitting on the rocks no doubt spitting fire at the World.
The original painting together with its partner painting - 'Tide out at Snave' were part of the Lavitt Gallery Members Exhibition in February 2023.
