A beautiful area near Union Hall - a beautiful estuary near the sea near Muckross. Swans and bird life aplenty with little noise, except the old tractor near me that evening - trying to dig drills for spuds - so i guess it was near Patrick's Day.
I was exploring - looking for places to draw / paint - but the rain stopped any further progress, so i made do with photographs back in my little studio.
I immediately started working on this painting to try to capture the light of the spring early evening setting in with a shower - that light in the distance.
