{"title":"The Sea","description":"\u003cp\u003ePainting the sea if you live around the coastline of Ireland is a natural subject - whether it is an estuary at low tide or a full storm,  from jagged rocks and foaming seas, to reflected light, it is a constant challenge and ever changing. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI have also enjoyed the challenge of drawing and painting seaweed through the surface of water. I love the complexity and near abstract feel to this work, but which is still a representative painting.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn more recent work i have found myself drawn to the figure in within the landscape, inspired by unexpectedly encountering fishermen or farmers gather seaweed along the shore.
